The reverse also shows the 90 degree double-strike, but clockwise.

RIC 293 for same with star pattern on shield) Note: The pattern on the shield is quite unusual and I've not encountered anything similar on late Roman gold. In hand, the design looks like an eye or a radiant sun with four planets or stars around in the fields. Compare the shield design on this specimen to the usual design on the other example I've included below. Officina B in Rome appears to have deviated from the standard design for this issue as I was able to locate another example, but with yet another different design. http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=99346
