Notes from Paolucci: "On 11th January 1568 the Consiglio dei Dieci
resolved on the issue of pieces of 'quattro carci' (four carzie) intended
for Cyprus. No sources are known that would shed light on the striking of
two other new coins for Pietro Loredan: a quarter-zecchino and a new type
of soldino with a lily cross replacing that first struck by Pietro Lando.
There also exist two types of soldini with the figure of the doge in armor
which are almost certainly patterns."
