Consignor notes: aVF, well-centered. Filled-in test cut in owl's head. Damage to Athena's face from original test cut. Flattening of surfaces from clamp keeping coin in place during test cutting. Obverse edge cracks, knobbed protrusions at edge, edge layering evidence of overstriking on existing coin.

Consignor notes: aVF, well-centered, test cut on reverse. Exhibits crystallization or intergranular corrosion caused by copper leaching out of the matrix. This indicates the flan was not made of Laurion silver, which is nearly pure and was used for most owl tets.
