Greek: Mysia-Parion

Mysia-Parion (?), Archaic AR Diobol (?), c.480 BC

Incuse square containing crude cruciform pattern
12mm x 13mm, 1.36g
cf. Sear GCV II 3917-8

Notes: Obverse nearly indistinct, but the traces of the Gorgon face are visible. Sear assigns the 3/4 drachm (~4.0g) and hemidrachm (~2.6g) tentatively to Parion and notes this is not certain. This issue with around half the weight of the hemidrachm is not listed.
