Ex Freeman & Sear, CICF Show, April 2010; Ex A. Lynn Collection

Note from Barry Murphy: None of the references mention the pellet in the exergue, although Woytek 126c illustrates and example with the pellet from a different die. Perhaps it was considered a die break, but with two different dies with the same pellet, it was evidently added on purpose.

Note: I have no idea what the celator was going for at the back leg of the throne. Looks like a partial captive or an attempt at a supplicant or something, but nothing like that would fit the design elements. Probably just some odd damage to the die, which still had to be used though as it was still relatively fresh.

Notes from Berk flip: "The spirals on the column indicate the famous relief band narrating the events of Trajan's two Dacian wars that is still in place today; the statue on top of the column stands left extending right hand and holding spear in left; the lower tier of the base has a door in the center; two sculptures of eagles, finally stand on the upper tier of the base, which is also decorated with a garland. Scarce with these titles: only eight specimens in Reka Devnia hoard."
